Update: Everything below was previously announced but will not be going into effect as published below.

What are the changes at TikTok Shop? Options for DCL customers shipping with new TikTok Shop requirements.

TikTok Shop is implementing a major update to how merchants can fulfill orders in the U.S. Sellers fulfilling from TikTok orders may be limited on how they use their own shipping account or will no longer be able to use their own shipping account, effective March 31, 2026 for existing TikTok sellers.

Read below for the changes, options brands have, and how DCL is supporting our TikTok customers.

1. Changes at TikTok: End of Seller Shipping

Seller shipping for TikTok orders is changing. Sellers and 3PLs (fulfilling on behalf of a brand) will be limited when using their own shipping account or will no longer be able to use their own carrier accounts or generate labels outside TikTok’s ecosystem for TikTok orders.

  • The phase-out starts February 25, 2026, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026, for existing sellers.

  • Sellers onboarding on or after February 9, 2026 will be subject to these requirements immediately upon setup.

Key Impacts

External carrier labels and accounts are no longer valid for TikTok orders, and the platform is centralizing fulfillment within its logistics services for enhanced tracking, consistent delivery, and a standardized customer experience.

  • Brands will no longer be permitted to use carrier shipping labels bought through USPS, FedEx, UPS, or other carriers unless generated through TikTok’s systems.

  • TikTok will control how shipping labels are generated, and rates are applied.

2. DCL Customer Options: DCL Continues to Manage TikTok vs. Move to TikTok Fulfillment

Option A — Stay with DCL Managing all TikTok Orders and DCL’s Shipping Accounts

Brands continue fulfilling via DCL using the current workflow.

DCL has implemented an “allow-list/white-list” status for customers so they can keep using their existing shipping accounts and labels. This is made possible by our SelectShip service. Once allow-listed by TikTok, sellers retain their current process without operational change.

Benefits of remaining with DCL’s fulfillment:

  • No changes to fulfillment workflows

  • No need to switch label generation systems

  • DCL retains control over carrier selection and negotiated rates

  • No disruption in customer service

Option B — Stay with DCL Managing all TikTok Orders and use TikTok’s Shipping Accounts

Brands may continue to fulfill TikTok orders through DCL while using TikTok-generated shipping labels.

DCL will manage the technical integration required to support TikTok’s label generation within our warehouse systems. Shipping rates will be set by TikTok and billed directly to the seller through the TikTok platform.

Key Considerations

  • This setup requires a separate integration process.

  • There is a fee associated with this, which will be based on your contract.

Please coordinate with your DCL Account Manager for guidance and implementation support.

Option C — Transition to TikTok Shop Logistics

If the merchant chooses to use TikTok Shop Logistics, the seller must switch to TikTok’s required fulfillment services:

  • Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT): TikTok handles storage, labeling, and delivery (this will operate the same as Amazon FBA).

  • TikTok Shipping: TikTok supplies shipping labels and rate control.

  • Collections by TikTok (CBT): TikTok arranges pickup and fulfillment.

FBT typically requires pre-positioned inventory, and CBT may not be available for all SKUs or regions, depending on TikTok’s tiering system.

3. How DCL is Supporting Customers Using TikTok — Expertise and Continuity

DCL’s transportation team has been actively monitoring TikTok’s evolving logistics strategy and emerging marketplace trends. We recognized early that TikTok would move toward tighter control over order fulfillment and shipping processes.

Our SelectShip service gives us a flexible transportation management system that can pivot quickly to support TikTok’s requirement changes. We are actively working with TikTok technical teams and advocating for our customers to be added to the allow-list, preserving current workflows.

DCL customers have options, with minimal disruption and time to implement a cohesive strategy.

4. Next Steps for Brands

Your account team will reach out to start a discussion about managing your TikTok orders.
