At times, item SKUs in an e-commerce store that is connected via a DCL e-commerce connector can have a different SKU for the same item at DCL. This application allows us to create a cross-reference item record(s) from an e-commerce store SKU to a DCL SKU.
Example Use Case
A customer’s SKU in their e-commerce store is different from the SKU used at DCL for the same item. To ensure orders are fulfilled correctly, a SKU mapping needs to be established between the two systems.
This mapping allows the E-commerce SKU to be automatically translated or mapped to the corresponding DCL SKU when orders are placed.
Customer | Store SKU (on Order) | Start Date | End Date | DCL SKU (on Box) |
Acme | A1234 | 1/1/2023 | 1/31/2023 | B1234 |
Acme | A5678 | 1/1/2023 | (null) | B5679 |
Criteria
Using a DCL ecommerce app (Shopify, Amazon, etc.)
E-commerce SKU is different from the SKU at DCL
Setup is done internally at DCL
Setup
The setup will need to be completed by the DCL Team.
Customer to provide the e-commerce SKU that correlates with the DCL SKU for DCL with start and end dates. If the SKU does not have a defined end date, it will run in perpetuity or until DCL is instructed to remove it.
