Any DCL customer can request a freight quote from the Trade & Transportation team. Before the quote can be provided, there are a few pieces of information that the DCL customer needs to provide. Below is a checklist of the necessary information needed to get a freight quote for both domestic and international shipments.

Domestic Checklist (for LTL or small parcel):

  1. Ship from Location (e.g.: which warehouse)

  2. Destination Zip Code

  3. Pallet Count

  4. Total Weight

  5. Number of cartons

  6. Dimensions

    1. Example: Pallet size 48"x40"x50"

  7. Class

  8. Unique Requests (e.g.: lift gate)

    1. Example: Liftgate service is required with freight that is too heavy to lift, and you don’t have a loading dock or forklift. Weight cut-offs for liftgate service depend on the carrier.

  9. Dangerous Good

  10. Check to confirm if the consignee requires a delivery appointment/ time slot to drop the freight.

  11. Delivery Time (e.g.: 2-Day, 3-Day, 4-Day, 5 or more days)

International Checklist:

  1. Shipper Information

  2. Consignee Information

  3. Product dims and specific requests

  4. Pallet Count

  5. Total Weight

  6. Dangerous Good

  7. INCO Terms

  8. Broker (or Customs Clearance)

  9. Unique Requests (e.g.: lift gate)

  10. Check to confirm if the consignee requires a delivery appointment/ time slot to drop the freight.

  11. Delivery Time (e.g: 2-Day, 3-Day, 4-Day, 5 or more days)

How to Submit a Request:

Once all required information is gathered, please submit it via email to the appropriate fulfillment email alias. They will then send the request to the Transportation team. The expected turnaround time is within 48 hrs.
