This is the list of requirements and specifications for inbound customer pallets, including labeling, dimensions and pallet composition.

Pallet Specifications

Pallet Size

4-way 48" x 40" pallets

Pallet Material*

Wooden in good condition

Loaded Height

California locations: 58" (including pallet)

Kentucky location: 55" (including pallet)

York location: 55" (including pallet)

Weight

< 2,000 lbs

Wrapped**

Pallet wrap covering entire load and pallet

Chipboards or Corrugated Pads on Pallets (to keep out dirt during transit and storage)

Top and bottom of pallet load

Corner boards on Pallets

Not required, but highly encouraged

Pallet Slip Sheet

Between bottom of boxes and pallet AND on top of pallet for EACH pallet

Double Stack

NO

Stacking Boxes

Interlocked positions with no hollow center;

Carton labels must be facing outward

Shipping Multiple Pallets

Must be marked in sequence (ex. 1 of 5, 2 of 5, ... )

Partial and Mixed Pallet Label Placement

Clearly marked as PARTIAL or MIXED at the front and top of the pallet

Part numbers of all content must be listed on pallet

Outside should show part numbers and quantities for each carton

**Strapping must be easily removable; Never strap or wrap pallet underneath the floor

contact points.

Inbound consignments exceeding specified pallet height limits shall be subject to down- stacking at Management discretion. Additional pallet down-stacking charges may apply at Customer’s expense, based on contractual labor shop and material rates.

  • All components and/or finished goods must be packed in such a manner as to effectively diminish the possibility of damage and allow for an accurate count of the product.

  • Damaged consigned goods or pallets resulting from poor transit handling or inadequate packing will be reported to customer upon discovery.
