Delivery Exception Report - How to Schedule, Update, and View in eFactory

Steps to view your delivery exception report and automate the report sent to your email inbox.

Creating a Scheduled Report

  1. Log into eFactory and select the customer account you wish to setup the Delivery Exception report for.

  2. Once logged in, navigate to the Analytics menu.

  3. On the left side panel, select Standard ReportsDelivery Exceptions → click the icon to create a schedule.

  4. A pop-up will appear where you can enable all options for the scheduled report.

    • Start: from the date picker pop-up, choose the date you wish to start the report. Default date will be the present date. You can select a future date as well.

    • Days of week: using the check box, select the day(s) to receive the report

    • Enabled (or Disabling): checked will enable the report (default)

    • Expire (optional): set an expiration date and time, optional. This only applies if the box Expire is selected.

    • Format: choose from one of the three options: Excel, Csv, or Zip

    • Delivery options: Email or FTP

      • Email can be sent to more than one email address. after each email, add a comma (no spaces) after each email address.

  5. Once you have selected all options, select the ADD TO SCHEDULE button to apply.


Schedule Your Reports

Want to see what is scheduled or need to modify settings? Navigate to Scheduled Reports.

  1. View all your schedule reports by navigating to the Scheduled reports page, located on the left navigation Find the scheduled report named Delivery Exceptions.

  2. Need to edit, delete, or want the report information? Find the report you wish to edit or delete, and choose the options icon (three lines)
    EDIT: modify/update the report settings
    DELETE: delete the scheduled report
    DISABLE: disable the report. You can reenable any time with one click.
    Export To: need the report now? You dont have to wait for the scheduled report to run. Select this prompt and choose your file format of choice (Excel, Csv, or Zip). Once you select the file type, a download will appear in your browser window and can be found in your downloads.


Viewing the Report

Viewing a delivery exception report is easy. There are a few ways to view the report information.

Download a live report in eFactory

There are two options to download a live report within eFactory without waiting for the scheduled report.

Option #1

  1. While in eFactory, navigate to Analytics, and select Standard Reports.

  2. Place your mouse/cursor on the Delivery Exceptions icon. This is the same icon to schedule a report. On the lower right corner, a download icon will appear.

  3. Select the icon to view the options to download the report immediately. (Excel, Csv, or Zip).

  4. Once you select the file type, a download will appear in your browser window and/or can be found in your downloads.

Option #2

  1. While in eFactory, navigate to Analytics, and select Scheduled Reports.

  2. Find the scheduled report and select the three line icon (to view more options)

  3. Additional download formats will appear and choose your file format of choice (Excel, Csv, or Zip).

  4. Once you select the file type, a download will appear in your browser window and/or can be found in your downloads.

Emailed Report

The email will come from DCL EFACTORY with a subject line Delivery Exceptions.

When the scheduled exception report is created, the email(s) setup will receive an emailed report for viewing.

  1. Open the attachment within the email.

  2. The columns within the report contain helpful information about the packages in transit.

  3. Description column (column I): has helpful carrier notes with detail on the delivery exception for the package in transit.
