Summary
Each DCL customer is provided an initial eFactory username login during integration. As a customer, you will be able to manage these usernames through eFactory without needing assistance from your DCL account team. Please note that to update the eFactory usernames, you must first have Administration Tasks access, which is determined during integration.
In this article you’ll find how to:
Creating a new user in eFactory
Login to eFactory (please note you must have Administrator access).
Select the Services tab.
Then using the drop-down menu, select Setup Administration Tasks.
A list of current users will be shown.
Select the Add User button at the end of the listed users.
You will then be prompted to create a new username and password (please note the Password Policy).
You will have created the new user, but you still need to determine the permissions for the new user. This determines what account visibility they have access to.
What permissions will a license fee be assessed?
The license fee may vary based on the permissions assigned to each user. The details below outline the applicable license fees for each permission level.
Permission level | License Type | Use |
Overview | eFactory | Overview of orders, Inventory, RMA, etc |
Orders Menu | eFactory | Listing of all orders at all stages |
Items Menu | eFactory | Inventory status, transactions, holds, etc. |
ReturnTrack | ReturnTrak | RMA entry and status module |
OrderPoint | Free | The manual order entry module |
EDI Central | EDI Central is Not Applicable | Not in use anymore |
Analytics | eFactory license | History of shipments and SLAs |
Services | Free | Administrate functions such as email template set ups, eFactory user set up, Returntrak set up, etc |
Web Services | Free | To set up a username and password to connect to our API and other web service functions only. |
NOTE: You will only be charged once per user for each permission and license. For example, if you give permission for the overview and orders menu to a user, they all count under one eFactory license fee.
Note: All the permissions will incur a licensing charge except for Orderpoints and Webservices. Please refer to your contract for exact pricing.
Once you complete the permissions sections (in the left column of the screenshot above), hit Save Changes, and your new account will be ready to use. You will also get an alert confirming any licensing charge.
