Managing eFactory Users

How to create a new user or delete a user's access in eFactory.

Summary

Each DCL customer is provided an initial eFactory username login during integration. As a customer you will be able to manage these usernames through eFactory without needing assistance from your DCL account team. To update the eFactory usernames please note you must first have Administration Tasks access which is determined during integration.

In this article you’ll find how to:

Creating a new user in eFactory

  1. Login to eFactory (please note you must have Administrator access).

  2. Select the Services tab.

  3. Then using the drop down menu, select Setup Administration Tasks.

  4. A list of current users will be shown.

  5. Select the Add User button at the bottom.

  6. You will then be prompted to create a new username and password (please note the Password Policy).

  7. You will have created the new user, but you still need to determine the permissions for the new user. This determines what account visibility they have access to.

  8. Once you complete the permissions sections (in the left column of the screen shot above), hit Save Changes, and your new account is ready to use.

Deleting User Access

  1. Login to eFactory (please note you must have Administrator access).

  2. Select Services from the top navigation bar.

  3. Using the drop down menu select Setup Administration Tasks.

  4. A list of current users will be shown and you will locate the username you wish to delete.

  5. Under Actions you will select the edit button for that username.

  6. Once prompted, select Delete User.

Modify an Existing User

  1. Login to eFactory (please note you must have Administrator access).

  2. Select Services from the top navigation bar.

  3. Using the drop down menu select Setup Administration Tasks.

  4. A list of current users will come up; locate the username you wish to modify.

  5. Under Actions you will select the Edit button for that username.

  6. Edit permissions selecting which modules and account access is required for the modified username and select Save Changes.

  7. Once changes are made the next time the user logs in, all changes will be reflected.
