Below is a list of hold codes and their definition that you can find in the Items (Inventory) tab within eFactory

Where can you find the items on hold?

Items on hold can be found in the Items tab in eFactory and under the On Hold subsection on the left-hand navigation bar.

How do I put Items (Inventory) on hold?

If you want to put a product on hold, kindly inform your Account Manager. They will help you select the appropriate hold code from the list of available options based on the reason for the hold. We are unable to add or modify the current hold codes.

Hold codes and their definitions

Hold Code

Meaning

Explanation

0

Restricted

This code is meant for FDA products where it's not moved or touched without customers' approval. This code is not typically used.

1

Qty Error System

This is an incorrect quantity added or deducted by the system, which requires further investigation. Please note that this code is not accessible for customer use.

COO NON CHINA - RTV

A specific customer uses this hold and not available to the general public

COO NON CHINA - RTF

A specific customer uses this hold and is not available to the general public

4

Serial # or Scanning Issue

When scanning a serial number during shipping, if we find any issues like duplicated serial numbers or are unable to scan, the unit will be placed on hold under this code.

R&D Product

A specific customer uses this hold and is not available to the general public

Shipping Special Request

A specific customer uses this hold and not available to the general public

7

S/N Not Activated-Rework

A specific customer uses this hold and is not available to the general public

8

Scrap-Return

This hold is intended for RMAs that have been designated for scrapping.

Scrap-Damage Products

This hold is intended for good product that will be scrapped or donated.

A

Assigned Lot

A specific customer uses this hold and is not available to the general public.

B

Custom Hold

This is a hold we will use when a customer asks us to put an incoming product on hold.

C

Cycle Count Variance

When a variance is found during a cycle count, we will place the variance on hold for investigation and approval to adjust the variance.

D

QC Hold

We will use this hold code when we find a product that is non conforming like incoming stock without a part number label

E

Damaged Product

Units found damaged in the warehouse will be put on this hold code. It will remain on hold pending the customer's disposition.

F

Failed Device

In case of an RMA product inspection request, any device that fails the inspection will be put on a failed hold code.

G

With Expiry Date

These are products found with an expired expiration date.

H

Hold

This is a hold we will use when a customer asks us to put the product on hold for any reason

I

SCRAP9

These are units that are put on hold pending scrapping or destruction.

J

Blind Return

When receiving RMA returns without an RMA already created in our Returntrak system. Some customers require DCL to put these RMA's on a special hold.

K

Variance From Vendor

We will place incoming units on this hold when the packing list doesn't match the physical more than 10% over short or if we get a notification from the vendor that there is an issue.

Refund

A specific customer uses this hold and not available to the general public

N

Hold - Newer Version

To ensure that we have the most updated version of a part number, we will implement a hold code to temporarily suspend the use of previous versions.

O

Inspection Hold

When we have instructions to inspect the current product we will place the product on hold after inspection pending the customer's disposition.

P

Remanufactured

A specific customer uses this hold and not available to the general public

Q

On Hold Pending QA

When our Quality team or the customer finds an issue with a product we will place it on hold using this code.

R

RMA9

For good RMA stock. The product under this hold code will remain on hold until we have the approved disposition from the customer.

S

Safety Stock

This hold takes a requested amount of product to be used when all other product is used up. Typically customer has enough safety stock to cover their shipments while the new product is being ordered.

T

Need to be Tested

For RMA or Good stock, if the customer wants us to put product on hold for testing.

U

Unplanned Returns

These are good undeliverables that we have received and waiting for disposition

V

RTV - Return to Vendor

These are bad RMAs and cannot be sold as good stock again. They will remain on hold until we have the approved disposition from the customer.

W

Hold for Rework

This hold can be used for stock that will be reworked, inspected, or changed from its existing configuration.

X

Damaged Packaging

Units found with a damaged box but the product is good in the warehouse will be put on this hold code. It will remain on hold pending the customer's disposition.

Y

Rejected Item

When a product is tested during an inspection we can use this hold code for failed units

Z

Reserved

A customer can use this hold code to hold specific units for a future order.
